Tuition fee
Tuition fee is usually charged per subject or semester, depending on the program. If the program duration is short, you might be asked to pay full tuition fee in advance, however generally you can pay per semester. Tuition fee does not include living expenses.

Admissions fee / Enrolment fee
Some institutions may charge you admissions fee or Enrolment fee when you accept an offer. This is a one off payment and you won't be required to pay it again as long as you remain in the original enrolment. This fee can be from PGK500 to PGK1,000.
Health Insurance
Having a Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) is compulsory if you are studying in Australia. When you get sick or get injured while you are overseas, health insurance will help you to cover some costs of treatment and consultation at the hospital.
If you are intending to bring your family with you as your dependent, they need to be covered also. Student visa holder must have an OSHC that covers the whole duration of study before you travel to Australia. OSHC usually cost around K1,700 per year for standard / single policy. Living costs
This is something you will have a control about. Below is the figure that recommended by the Australian government for international students to prepare for a standard lifestyle in Australia. Depending on how you manage your expenses, you can save a lot of money. However, it is not recommended to plan working whilst your study to pay for your living costs.
It is recommended to expect AU$1,400 - $2,500 per month per student depending on the city you study at. You can use a cost of living calculator to find out detailed expected costs for your study in Australia.
If you are planning to bring your family, make sure that you have sufficient funds to cover their living costs, and school fees for school age children.
Visa related costs
Each visa application will be charged when lodging an application. Please check the Department of Home Affairs website to find out the current visa fee amount.
If this is your first time to apply for a Student visa, you will be required to undergo visa medical exam and biometric.s
Visa medical exam must be done by approved physicians' clinic and cost will be from K900 - K2,000 depending on the clinic. Biometrics will be approx. K110 per person.
